Fuera de mi país

Feeling the sensuality, of being far away.
All instincts are open.
All colours seem different. All foods seem to taste that much better.
Somewhere in the middle of a place yet to be discovered. It makes you feel happier than you have ever been.
The blue sea or the small vintage streets suddenly seem like they are all you will ever need.
All your senses have been triggered and you are so much more alert for new touches and experiences..
Wandering around suddenly doesn’t seem like a waste of time..But actually even useful. Because you are discovering. You are setting foot somewhere you have never been.
You want to get spicy first impressions and remember everything you see and all the impulses you get..

You are alone, and have no responsibilities whatsoever. There is enough money, to last you at least until you get the feeling you want to go back home. Even if it’s not enough, it doesn’t matter..You are here. And you can do anything you like.
Even the smallest details like children playing outside, screaming and making loud noises don’t bother you.
You are moved by an old man smoking his pipe and waving his hand to the bakers opposite him. Even if it’s eleven in the morning, he already has a drink in his hand.

Even if you are still wearing last night’s clothes..feeling weary, and perhaps a little dried out. You are fresh from the early jump in the sea..Sitting down on a small wobbly chair, barely leaning on the crooked table..You are enjoying the best chocolate croissant ever made, and drinking high quality espresso.

What is there to do today? Does it matter? Maybe another wander around.. a siesta in the cool, airy mediterranean apartment? Maybe a lunch appointment with some foreign, inspiring people, speaking a different language. Perhaps a fresh loaf of bread with butter and wine for lunch?
In the sea the whole afternoon....
And only God can know where the evening will take itself.
That is, every night, the biggest bewilderment. Only to land back on this chair recollecting the memories of a day gone by.

Maktub

It doesn't matter how astonishing your way of life is..If it's your way, apparently it has to be so.
You can fight it, but it won't help you to find your success and happiness.
Maybe the opposite will be true..If you persist something that isn't entirely matched to you, it will be like fighting against a brick wall. That's why it's the key to find your way of life..
Maktub is an alchemist (arabic) word which literally means: "It is written." From a mystical point of view it says that whatever happens, it is already known to "One". It signifies that destiny actually does exist. This is an interesting view and it takes great thinking to calculate how this term could logically fit in with a lot of other spiritual and ethical beliefs. Realising and believing this, would mean that it’s acceptable to sit back and relax and let your life just manifest itself. Obviously the opposite is the truth. It’s proven in my opinion, that happiness comes from humbleness, which is more often than not, created by hard work and faith in goals and dreams, and the pleasure of working towards them.
The law of attraction explains us that we should think and act as if our goals are in fact already ours..and so then the universe will follow. Maktub is what could follow. “It is written”. Believe in what you write, as if it was already written. Having goals means to infact; live life purposefully, and in gratitude. Everyone has a purpose in life…a unique gift or special talent to give to others. And when we blend this unique talent with service to others, we experience the ecstasy and exultation of our own spirit, which is the ultimate goal of all goals.

Inspired by a young and inspirational woman, who made me realise that; if I wanted to go somewhere, I could be there tomorrow..
